joan,

thx. which ml fund?i m also in 45% cash only cuz i wanted to rebalence my portfolio.

i realized i had a much bigger % of wintelco then i should have had.

so i sold 99 leaps against the access stocks. This gives me some
protection on down side and hope to get called away.

this way i put off paying taxes for another 2yrs. ( i.e. pay tax on
gains in april 2000 for profit that is protected now.

Joan,

<With the discussions on
this tread it looks like if the bond starts going down shorting
them would be the way to play the game.>

Have you considered Rydex Juno Fund?

"...Investment objective is to provide total return...that will inversely correlate to the price movements of a benchmark for US Treasury debt instruments..."

Symbol is RYJUX

Hope this helps.
