Jim,

SWY and BMY have been my best performing stocks during this rough period, so even though they are high priced stocks, I figure they're worthy of mention. I'm glad you think that SWY has nice RS. :-)

Questions/Dissucion for ALL
Why buy in this Market?
Why short in this Market?
Why go 100% cash in this Market?

Anyone care to put forth some opinions?
I for one got really burned over the last two weeks with just the POWS, and on thursday i decided to move to 100% cash to regroup, and clear my head. It seems that everything that was working before isn't; the markets move at a whim, and even when the markets move, our small caps don't follow the trend. I watch for the strong technicals that doug has covered, yet they have lately just broken down and it's hard to know wheter or not to hold on to them for the intermediat term, or, if we indeed are entering a bear market soon, drop them and cut your losss. that's what i did, albeit a large loss.
but i'd rather be ready for round two with a full arsenal than be feeling like i'm blindfolded in the woods and incapabable of understandng how to apply TA since it doesn't seem to hold.

Finally, in looking at the charts, to me it looks like we have definitely broken the uptrend of the dow in a big way. i guess we could remain in a sideways pattern, or start heading down for a long time. or have a major crash.
what do people think will happen in the next few weeks?

Jim,

How does BOBJY look technically, now? You called the drop right on the button, and now it seems to be going up again. What do you think?
