>> the part of the tax cuts he was forced to accept

How was he "forced" to accept it? Couldn't he have simply vetoed the measure?

Al, > Obama extended the bush taxcuts because he felt that the economy was/is vulnerable...the part of the tax cuts he was forced to accept were those targeted at higher income earners...see, that's what I mean about you guys...when bush put these tax cuts in place he did it to prime the economy...when obama does it it's "political triangulation"...

It IS "political triangulation" when you base your entire career on demagoguing tax cuts, then reversing course after a devastating mid-term election.

Maybe you were all for raising taxes when times were good, but that would mean having to admit that times were good under Bush. Which I never saw you do. Ever.

> I have never heard you say that...what I see most frequently is you piling on to the "overdoing"...in fact you find solace with some of the worst nutjobs on the thread...folks like longshort, with whom you often find third person solidarity...

Same with you and Ted, Bentway, Shep, and Don Hurst.

I hear it from i-node and longnshort when I denounce the "birthers" ...

How about you break free from this "us vs. them" mentality? I can't understand how it gives you any measure of satisfaction, especially since your attempts to "silence the opposition" will NEVER work. Not in this country, at least.
