I passed up buying a Blue Ray for $89.00 at Fred Meyer last week. They're finally coming down in price.

I've gone through five players, my cheap
Philips DVD player has given me the least
trouble, a Sony the most, a Samsung DVD and
VHS unit chokes on the smallest scratch now.
I'd rather stream video too.

But now that you mention your disdain for
Philips... I got a cheap Philips Bluray open
box from Newegg a year ago--the load times
were excruciatingly slow, should have sent
it back.

My next bluray will be one I slap into a bay
in my PC and has rave reviews.
