Well steve, it's a lot more than just a fan. That point was
beaten to death. It is just an example. Systems go down,
and when they do, it can be disasterous. When a client that's
used mainly for data transactions goes down no big deal. When
a desktop used for productivity goes down....

In all of your years managing thousands of systems you mean
to tell me you've never had a hard drive fail? That's why
people make backups. Gee, wouldn't it be neat if hard drive
failures could be predicted and a warning message be sent to
the user and administrator? This technology is used in
servers today, you'll see it in low end desktops soon. There's
many more examples. These aren't useless and frivolous technologies for business PC's.

Yes, the Longhorns are toast if they play the Aggies this year.
