Still looking for the Abelson article, but here is a little tidbit about Colony of Forrester Research:

When it comes to electronic commerce, Colony sees
great promise: Forrester predicts the networked
economy will produce $350 billion in revenues in the
year 2000, up from $100 million now. (Close to half of
the current total, he says, represents infrastructure
spending.) At the same time, he sees danger for
companies that focus only on selling over the Web, while
ignoring the more traditional ways of peddling
goods-through catalogues, stores and over the phone.
"The smart companies will blend channels," he says.
"Dell has effectively blended the Web with their success
in direct marketing over the phone. There's a pretty
good chance that in 2005 the biggest bank on the
Internet will be Citibank. Eventually, Barnes & Noble
will catch and bury Amazon.com." In fact, within two
years, Colony predicts, Amazon will be building
brick-and-mortar stores.

From the AMZN chart, is that right shoulder at 55? Would this be a good place to buy some puts? How long does it take to form?
