I'm constantly disappointed by (D) pols that let their little brains do the thinking. At least it's with WOMEN, unlike so many (R)'s.

"And let me add......I have not heard one of you wingers say something similar about all the R losers caught doing something stupid or worse."

You seem to have missed a couple of things.

First let me point out, the hypocrisy of Mark Foley(and others) was widely condemned by the Right wingers here as I recall, at least by some of them.

Second let me point out that you are missing and seem always to miss the key to this type of issue. It isn't really about the sexual interests of these guys, although that seems to be what makes it exciting for some of you to banter over. It is about the violation of trusts. The right to represent is based solely on the ability of voters to lend their trust to the representative. Liars and hypocrites are not qualified to hold such offices. Unfortunately, there is no way to filter for that characteristic ahead of time. When it is revealed, that they have violated the public trusts, they have breached their social contract with those they represent. At such times they should be removed from office, IMO, but we don't have policy or procedure in place that authorizes such removals, at least not automatically.

What Wiener did with his internet service seems kind of perverse to me personally but considering what passes these days in the main stream, it really doesn't deserve much more than a tongue click. Definitely not worse than what other people have been caught at who are also public servants. However, his willingness to lie, and accuse innocents of wrong doing in order to cover up his conduct is inexcusable. It is good that he has come clean at this point, rather than forcing everyone to be drug through some proofing events.

Clearly I was wrong.

ALERT THE F*CKING MEDIA.

He said it. Those three little words. "I was wrong".

I can die in peace now.
