Yes, I know there is no such thing as one Scandinavian language......but there are Scandinavian languages.

As it was explained by a Swede, Danes may use what Swedes consider archaic forms of certain words and visa versa. And from what he told me, Danish and Swedish are more similar than say Dutch and German......meaning its easier for Danes and Swedes to understand each other. Was he telling me wrong?
