david bell writes about side effects:
<<Headache is the big one>>

That is one of Pfizer's Viagra's side effects, not Zonagen's Vasomax. Vasomax has an excellent side effect profile at its optimal dosage.

<<The other problem is the outcome measures used in these drug studies that of improved erections in a vague manner>>

The above sentence is rather difficult to decipher. Perhaps david was too chilled when he wrote it. As far as how erections were measured, Zonagen used the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) scale as primary endpoint. Their secondary endpoint was successful intercourse, not just acheiving an erection. Both measures showed strong statistical significance.

<< I also have heard that the company may have to repeat the studies prior to gaining approval.>>

Without attribution, this is just the kind of disinformation we were all warned against when getting information on the internet. Anyone can post whatever comes into their mind for whatever reason they wish. How could word about possible repeat studies have come out when the FDA does not yet have the results to study? Zonagen has not even filed an NDA yet! They also consulted with the FDA in setting up the protocols for their testing and used recognized experts to guide them every step of the way. Such a baseless rumor does not impress me one bit. If you go through david's posts, you will find nothing that connotes any medical expertise in the ED field. Perhaps he has been sticking himself with too many catheters.

Choose what you believe carefully!!

What exactly do you mean "Headache was the big one"?

What percentage of the patients complained of headache; how severe were the headaches; how does this compare with other oral medications recently tested??

Remember now, we're giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are an MD.

I guess it's Schering's "headache" now.

It's too bad you were unable to warn the ignorant know-nothings that run Schering-Plough of the worisome side-effects as well as the need to repeat the studies.

I'm certainly glad I was "holding the stock when this announcement was made"

Good-bye (I hope), DOCTOR
