That statement alone shows your stupidity.

Don,

While you dismiss my extreme analogy as a "Silly comment" you failed completely to tackle the "correlation is not causation" point that the analogy demonstrates and revert instead to a dismissive and sarcastic ad hominem attack. You do what all AWG advocates do when confronted with that exact question. Ignore and deflect.

If your "science" is so robust why not refer the questioner to a definitive scholarly article or report that clearly proves that increasing man made CO2 does cause all the damage claimed and quantifies that damage in a clear and scientific manner. This can not include opinion pieces or anything that relies of the "science is settled" approach now being used.

Also your comment "the terrible decrease in our way of life we will all suffer if we switch to clean, renewable energy sources" is closer to the mark than you intend.

Several people on this board have noted that all of the renewable energy projections rely heavily on adding biomass as a significant proportion of the renewable mix. Only one country to my knowledge has biomass as a significant portion of its total energy use, and that is Haiti where it comprises 75% of the total energy. The way of life in Haiti is not exactly an endorsement of the benefits of "renewable" sources of energy especially of biomass.

You assume that anyone who questions the AWG religious sects version of the world's current state is automatically an enemy of all non fossil fuel sources. That is not the case.

Many, including me, agree that a more rational transition of energy use from fossil fuels which are non-renewable to more sustainable mixes of energy, is desirable now and essential in the longer term. What we object to is the manipulation of public opinion by the unfounded scare tactics that AWG advocates employ and use of these tactics to formulate policies that would not benefit the climate even if they were strictly enforced.
