If Obama had appointed Stiglitz, Volker, Roemer, and Krugman, let them hire staff and defended them, he would be fine right now. But I think he was thinking politically and was too cute by half as they like to say these days. Had he waded into wall street with the above crew, and did what the above folks said and prosecuted the guilty, the people would have been behind him; and like FDR would have been reelected easily as a hero. Now his last competent person Goolsby is leaving. I think he is leaving because he is tired of having to defend Obama. I saw him try to do it on Colbert and Stewart. He was embarrassed and very defensive.
