I think Romney's strength against Obama is due to two things:
1) Romney name recognition (vs. other GOP candidates)
2) Obama weakness

IF it is true that even Romney could beat Obama, then IMO that means that others could also beat Obama.

The MSM can't help themselves; they always pick a "least objectionable" Republican to say nice things about in the primaries - until the general election, when they discover he's still a horrible Republican. I doubt it's even deliberate. Just a natural byproduct of covering the right from the far left.
