Jane,

Your point is well-taken that the parable doesn't apply specifically to end times. I would not disagree with you!

I was only suggesting that the idea expressed there and in many of our Lord's parables is the idea of the children of God living amongst the evil in this world is a fairly fundamental idea. We are to be salt and light, etc.

In Romans it speaks of the "whole creation groaning" "anticipating the revealing of the sons of God." "creation subjected to futility in hope"

I could be wrong, but if and when He has perfected His children why would He continue something with those destined to destruction? If there are those that are saved which would remain to see the terrors come on the world -- why would He treat those differently than the ones raptured?

I hope that my note was not seen as trying to repudiate your belief. I am aware of some of the scriptures that are pointed to in references to rapture. Some of these scriptures are hard to understand -- especially the chronology involved. I don't think I have all the answers or am 100% clear on the issue, but right now I think when Jesus comes back final judgement for all is simultaneous with that event.

I did not mean to offend you. I remain interested in your understanding of all biblical issues and experiences. I'm glad you are here.

God Bless
Barry
