And the batteries in the two cars you mention are substantially larger, more complex, and as a result have to be way more expensive than one in a hybrid like the Prius. Guess we will just have to wait and see how the tech pans out. On a side note, putting on our former software engineering hats <ggg>, I was thinking about the possibility that Chevy engineers have a backdoor way to 'log on' to a Volt using something like Onstar or 3G since the car has an IP address.
