People should base their opinions on principles that they believe are just and good--such as: forgiveness, The Ten Commandments, Sermon on the Mount, do unto others as you would have done unto you, and similar--principles that come from God or from simple justice.

People who form their opinions based on what they're told, Jews, Muslims, Christians including Mormons and Evangelicals, Catholics, Atheists, and others, are likely to be deluded or misled unless what is told to them is based on the underlying principles.

The worst of these are those who base their opinions on hate. Not much better are those who base their opinions on emotion unless it too is based on the underlying principles.

People who base their opinions on harangues of demagogues are responsible for the outcome.

What sticks on the craw of many Christians about Mormons is their insistence on calling themselves Christians even though they don't believe in the Trinity. The Trinity is the one thing Catholics and most Protestants agree on completely and is at the heart of the historic Christian church's belief.

Their belief about who Jesus is is unorthodox to say the least.

evangelicals really dislike them, I don't know why.
