They are hypocrites in their position that private matters should be allowed to be kept private.

8 years before Vitter's visit to the prostitute became public, and ballyhooed by democrats, he confessed it to his wife, IN PRIVATE, and asked her to forgive him. She did, they reconciled, end of story. Until democrats dragged it in front of the public.
