I don't even understand who "we" are: <You do not understand the situation we are in > I don't know about your part of we, but my part seems to be hunky dory thanks. Sitting comfy here in Londinium, scavenging free wifi from across the road at my new grandson's house. Cash flow from hordes of people buying Snapdragon is keeping the grocery flow way past Happy Meal levels.

I swung by the gold counter in Dubai airport to see what was going on and to see if I could get excited. It was far less inspiring than when the nice lady showed me gold bars of various sizes at $323 per ounce in Auckland a decade ago. Now gold looks so industrial revolution era. A few people in desultory fashion were poking around at a few golden baubles.

Across the aisle, in the Cybersphere, there was actual worshiping going on at the iPhone shrine, with a priest from the shop at the altar and a crowd of about 8 or 10 bowing in adulation at the various iCons on display from Apple. The HTC and other displays had some people having a look, but none with the one true religion of iPhones. Nokia's was sad and neglected - good riddance as they pay only 2% royalty for the world's most amazing-ever technology. HTC pays properly.

Here in Londinium, the mobs are surging, clutching cyberphones of iPhone type, but HTC design in many cases and many others too. It's manic. They have taken over from cigarettes as cuddlies. I have seen no gold. Cellphones did well, but Cyberphones are a vast phenomenon. There are no doubt similar scenes in Hong Kong and all around the world. Sales figures suggest that's true.

The situation seems excellent. Rumour has it there are debts but those can be written off and creditors stiffed.

Let me know if you see anything untoward.

TJ, how many people do you think truly understand the situation?

Hint: It might be one less than you think! <ggg>
