October of 2008 was ugly for me. I bought a bunch of STP and SPWR after Congress had greatly improved tax law for renewables and a week later I had dumped most of the shares. If it was not for my big gain in FSLR it would have been real ugly.

The drop in prices from there was staggering. Humbling times.

Meanwhile the solars just continue to drop here. In general I think this summer is going to be nasty for all stock markets around the world.

Sell in May and go away...

Thanks for the compliment. Eric has been following the industry much longer than I, and knows the technology much better. I consider myself to be "still learning". I expect, as the industry and technology matures, this board will get more crowded. When this board gets more posts in a month than Big Dog's oil board, it'll be time to sell solars.
