All shorted stock must either:
1. go to zero, or
2. be covered eventually (= required buying)

The shorts have been correct so far. I'm certain they will be wrong eventually (for the overall industry; some solar stocks could go to zero). An investor makes money, by being right when the market is wrong.

The current short interest as a percentage of the float for Trina Solar sits at around 17%...FSLR 29.9%...CSIQ 15.2%...LDK Solar(LDK_), which has a 40% short interest, JA Solar(JASO_), with a 23% short interest, Yingli Green Energy(YGE_), with a 16% short interest, JinkoSolar(JKS_), with a short interest of 38%, and ReneSola(SOL_), with a short interest of around 13%...
