Tom, I am hopeful that the recent weakness in the markets and economic numbers will energize getting a quality deal done. Pretty soon even the Neros in Washington should feel the heat of the approaching fires. My fear is that there are too many entrenched publicly held positions to make a quality deal easy to reach. The only compromise I can see is increased revenues via eliminated deductions without rate increases. That way one side could say they increased revenues and other can say they did not raise taxes. The next miracle would be regulatory reform - hey I can dream. Bob
