Remove Windows 8 from an XP system. . .

Open a Command Prompt with Administrator privileges and enter this command -

%windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe

P.S. I don't know if IE-8 is installed like IE-9. Microsoft made IE-9 an update, so it's removed by Remove Installed Update feature of Windows instead of Program Uninstall.
