Nikkei down 73. The last 6 weeks have broken DOW closing patterns several standard deviations from the mean. So we are in no mans land now.

And, as you say, only a matter of time. And as we are all shitty at this type of timing we could be in the beginning now.

I only help a few people these days with personal accounts, but I put them and myself in 75% cash a week ago. I kept the long term stuff and highly leveraged stuff not worth much and a few exploration stocks e.g. HL 2012's and PAL Sept $4's.

The 64$ question to me is not if we have a downturn, but how the metals will act this time. I figure there is a 75% chance of a big downturn, but a 33% chance of a big move up in gold which would surprise us given 08.
