You're only having to say that because recent winters have been severe. 10 years ago, alarmists claimed winters would get milder and milder. When the prophecy failed, they changed the pitch line .... now whatever happens, they'll claim it as AGW. We shouldn't believe this crap. James Hansen said in 1998 that in 20 years Manhattan's West Side Highway would be under water .... other alarmists said kids in Virginia would grow up not knowing what snow was. Before "global warming" there was global cooling. In 1970, there were headline stories about a new ice age ... and the study was based on a model created by James Hansen. Repeated failures of predictions, deceptive scholarship (hide the decline, making the Medieval Warming Period disappear), hiding scientific data, conspiring to hide data and rig the peer review process, championing of AGW by bigname jetsetting hypocrites who live lavishly themselves (Sheryl Crow, Tom Friedman, Al Gore) while calling on the public to accept austerity .... there's a lot of good reasons why people don't believe the alarmism anymore.
