The redacting was done by state officials and was of stuff deemed privileged. I'm thinking an example would be something that would deal with employee matters, particularly if names were used. All kinds of personal, state business, and political topics seem to h/b addressed. With Alaska being a Republican state, I am fairly certain state officials would be fairly reluctant to give out emails that might hurt the state or the party. Anything negative by Palin would reflect badly on both.
