I'm actually pretty copacetic with veal after learning a bit more about where it comes from. Dairy farms have little use for male baby cows, so they are goners from the moment they are born. The farm isn't going to raise a bunch of bulls that they have no use for.

So what they do with the male baby cows, which are marked for death anyway, is sell them for veal.

When you buy veal at the grocery you aren't consuming an animal that was created so that you could eat veal, you are consuming an animal that would go to waste if you didn't buy the veal.
