I'm not sure that restoring to a partition is not allowed. I've never tried that one.

My boot drive is partitioned into a C and D drive. The C partition has the OS and all my other files on it. The D partition has the manufacture's original restore files. I've imaged the C and D drives without any problems. I did create two separate image plans, one for the C and one for the D partitions. Both images are backed up to the same external HDD.

However, this is different than your situation. I would suggest that you use the PDF Manual and follow the steps for creating and storing the images. You can also email their tech support. They seem to respond within a 24 hour period. I believe the tech support group is located in China, so you have the time difference between the U.S. and China.

Let me know how this works out. I've found Easeus to be very stable and flexible. But, like anything new, it does take a little time to figure everything out. Especially in tech land.
