Betty, thanks for the info on the flat panel displays. If JMAR does have a role in this field, as indicated by a previous note on micromachining, then JMAR is yet in another high growth industry. I pulled this from your article reference:

Through 2002, desktop LCD monitor sales will grow 98 percent compounded annually, climbing to about $7.8 billion a year, according to Ross Young, president of DisplaySearch.

As to JMAR's push to get new products out the door, the more I think about it, the more that I approve of JMAR's move to get the funds now rather than later. Remember, everyone likes PPL and its performance. All commercial products that JMAR introduces gets transferred to the PPL division. The money raised by the offering will put more and more products into the PPL pipeline, lining up 1998 as a breakout year.
