At the most there are only 140 million people classified as working in the US. And those numbers are suspect. And many of these may be at low income levels.

1.5 million active duty in Armed Forces re: Wikipedia.

Then there are the aged, and the children, many of whom have no income, or pay no taxes at all.

In any case, I think realistically, since it has been proven that you cannot get blood out of a stone, you can likely double your debt charge figure per person per year. And that is at today's incredibly low interest rates.
