Good post Zeev. Notice how each of the scenarios while not specifically-alludes to the need to UPGRADE in the face of cutbacks to keep up with competition. Cymer benefits from either scenario. DUV is a vital transition just to keep up, much less lead the market or gain market share.

Nice link Zeev. Here's an article on a .25 production line in Korea (old purchase of semi equipment)...................

Korea's Anam to Operate 0.25-micron
DSP Lines

November 17, 1997 (TOKYO) -- Anam Industrial Co. Ltd.
of Korea, a leading IC assembly maker, in December will
begin mass producing digital signal processors designed by Texas
Instruments Inc. of the United States.

The line uses 0.25 micron meter process and can process 25,000
200mm wafers/month at maximum capacity. Construction of the first
production line started in 1996.

The line uses the standard mechanical interface clean technology
method and line-automation for wafer carriage.

Anam expects to start supplying its ICs to TI, with which it has a
technological tie-up.
