When I was a kid, my neighborhood friend's Dad worked at a mill where they made window frames and sashes from white pine. He had a collection of pieces that had been milled from trees that had been used for target practice and grew around the lead. Lead is pretty soft; the bullets they have today might cause a problem with saws and planers.

stuck in the bark and the tree grew around it.

Silly question Ish, but if he hadn't seen the bullet and put kindling into a fire with that bullet in, would it explode? I would think it would, but don't actually know....
