Speaking of China's serfs, the serfs of the USA are not as free as the cant claims. Countries all still treat people as chattels; pawns of economic activity to be fleeced and even conscripted and used as cannon fodder. It's understandable that women from China would want to drop an anchor baby in the USA, but they seem likely to be ignoring downsides. People I know won't even travel via the USA to Europe, let alone enter it, and wouldn't even consider the idea of forcing a baby to be American. But 10s of millions of others from plenty of other countries understandably would love to escape to the USA. I have not yet heard of any escaping to China; plotting illegal moves and disguises to be accepted into the realm. As you say, being portable seems to be a good idea, if up to the task. My DNA has tracked from as far east as Calcutta and as far west as Morocco and up into Europe a way. My grandson Sebastian Chan [now 2 month old] is from everywhere [though not Australia, Polynesia, or much of south east Asia [I guess]. My job is [among other things] to teach him mandarin. He is learning well. He is currently a stateless person, so is getting early lessons on being light on his feet. Many countries do not now include birthright as right of citizenship, including England and Europe. New Zealand makes hard paperwork of entitling descendants to citizenship. England long ago [1970s] pulled up the drawbridge and dropped the portcullis. Greece could lead the world again, introducing true democracy, being tradable citizenships, and ditch their Marxist mania. Selling limited tradable citizenships [say 20,000 per year] at auction would raise many $billions per year. The price would not be particularly high initially, but as the trends became clear, the demand would go through the roof. True actual such freedom does not exist anywhere at present. Hong Kong is a joke by comparison, though leading the pack of serfitude. Greece might have to secede from the European Union of Serfs to constitutionalize such a property right. The EU does NOT like property rights. Mqurice
