Mr Gogo, I have about 5% cash in my IRA and maybe 10-12% total in bond and preferred etf's there. I have about 5% cash in my Roths.
No cash in my two largest taxable accounts. These taxable accounts are set up for margin, so I use buying power from that.

Gogo - one of the changes I did decide upon after the 2008/2009 downturn was to hold a much larger portion of my portfolio in cash when the market has been going up for a while, like it did in April/May. My target cash level is now ~20% but I run it up to 30-40% in extended bull markets when i don't like the macro environment. I am currently at about 20% as current buys whittled away the cash hoard.
