I have invested in technology forever. Before it was cool. But I try to invest in those technologies that have a reasonable chance of significant success during my lifetime. I am not sue solar meets that criterion. The storage problem hasn't been solved, although there are potential solutions on the horizon. The cost problem is still prohibitive and there are ecological issues that have to be resolved. Another twenty years or more are required, I think. You cannot build a business on government subsidies, particularly when the government is broke. Our natural gas will be used either to make us energy independent or as an export to other countries. I wnt it used to make us independent. I have no objection to solar but it cannot do either of these things.
