Bent,

Complex topic. In general, I'm for the free and open trading of everything.

But, we know that most all the games are rigged. So, now free trading becomes a problem.

The commodity issue has one possible solution, but not without flaws. Require that anyone hedging/trading commodities be willing to take or provide delivery. In other words, if you are not in shipping, you can't trade oil. If you are in investment banker, you cannot trade oil unlimited. At one time there was a real value to producers from taking or selling a futures position. Now, it is Goldman and the like just gaming the system and forcing things, "their way" for profit. And we all pay for it.

I don't have the answer.
