I thought of this as well, but remember that we already have inexpensive digital answering machines that use internal memory to record the message and calls. There is no need for the most part to use Clique with them. My ancient answering machine uses mini-cassette, and I can't think of a time when I needed to pop out the tape.

To use Clique in an answering machine, you would have to tack on the extra OEM price of what, $75? You can get a digital machine already for that price alone.
