FED trying to make bad news good again. Agree they didn't commit to QE3, but they gave more hints that they'll try to goose the econ stats and the system to balance inflation/deflation when in reality it's just theft by those w/inflatable assets and liquidity vs the taxpayer/USA solvency. Keep kicking the can. Given the strength in oil/food I can't see the FED saying anything during the Aug trip at Jackson Hole, but who knows. I think Gross is probably correct on the plan, but wrong on the timing. Oil/food must come down more relative to the SPX. FED will play a game of chicken w/the inflationists. My prediction is next time we have bad news we'll be lower within 3 days or less of the news. If market stays flat why should the FED change course as heavy lifting done by others.
