In effect your describing the contrivance that is the current condition, accept its not one buyer but a network of buyers, who have agreed that removing supply is the path to greater profits. Me thinks this is all related to the prevailing beliefs about Peak oil which have been inclulcated as foundational within the lives of so many, as fact. Socialists Country National Oil companies, certain oiligarchies Need the Current situation to sustain thier scheme... its going to fail, WTI is just one very big piece of evidence that is counter programming the awareness which contrived the scheme.
