I expect Nuance's Dragon Dictate to be tightly integrated into iOS5 and I've found it incredibly accurate, very little correcting required. I think that will largely change the way text is entered on the iPad.

The swype keyboard on my Android comes very close to reaching my touch typing speed. I have become that good at it. BTW, your laptop will NEVER give you 17hrs of use. And you still be able, after doing the things that require the keyboard, to take the ASUS Pad out and use it like a regular tablet. And on long flights (my LA to Australia is some 14hrs) your iPad will run out of battery while my ASUS Transformer will keep going and going and going. Also having a full size SD slot is a god sent. My 128GB Panasonic camera card blazes on it. As I said, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer IS a KILLER app... and that is why they are selling out every one they can make...
