Actually, the most significant annoucement doesn't seem to have been noticed much, perhaps because Creative needs a lesson in marketing.

It's the Soundblaster 64 CSS2 (who will know that they have a new card?) which is the first Dolby 5.1 sound card for PCs. This is discrete 5-channel sound. If the card has digital ins and outs, the card is going to be a BIG hit in the semi-professional recording market. And, even if not, it could be a big hit with gamers.

They shoulda come up with a new name to drive home the notion of a new, revolutionary product.

This is somewhat positive for us, though, as the confusion is going to delay the stock reaction, so we are likely to get follow-through as this (and other) news is digested. No pop and drop!

Technically, we have nicely cleared that troublesome expanding triangle.
