You see what Vietnam is now? Prosperous, and that the communist regime is not what LBJ claimed what it would be: domino theory. But wasn't there a mass slaughter when the US first pulled out? I believe the country went through a very dark period for over a decade.

Glad to see someone else I respect sees that Petraeus is a war monger. I went in the National guard to get out of Viet Nam. Otherwise I was going to Canada. I was not going to kill those people because some crazy fools told me to. I got in big trouble with the National Guard for protesting the war and they put me at the top of the list to go to viet Nam. I got wharfy's congressman Baldwin to get me out after that. His exact words to another friend they tride to railroad. "YOu will have mister Hookers release papers in the mail today or I will have a congressional investigation by tomorrow. Hooker gave them them finger while in formation on the way out. Tough guy. They let me go after that, more easily.
