GG,

It is amazing and it isn't. All those clowns have inventory to move, so painting pretty pictures when black clouds are rolling in is damn good business <g>

I too see an amazing number of garage sales. I had an artist seek me out (based on awareness of my other purchases) and offer a huge discount on their work. Reason, daughter going to college and they need 34K by the fall. She actually offered that information up. I would have helped her, but her stuff was not my thing.

There are many very desperate people out there right now and good old Bennie is really helping them with $4 gas and monthly increases in food.

Doing my monthly recap at Kohls during the, "Kohl's Cash" sale. It is the only time you can figure the real price of goods at Kohls, as the rest of the time their prices are just stupid. Think of it as a store where everything is marked up 20-30% just waiting for the sale so they can move boatloads of stuff in five days. Anyway, sticker shock galore. Vera Wang sheets and bed sets...ready for it...DOUBLED in a year. DOUBLE. List on a comforter set is over $400 for a queen. 300 thread sheets going for list $149 and netting with the max discount at $55. All a scam, but even the sales prices are higher than last Fall. Coffee up too.
