Maybe, but Nissan seems to think it is winner.

IN 2013 they're releasing a Infiniti M that's all electric. For those who want a gas-powered version, they're releasing a hybrid model.

I can't imagine buying a Volt. I really cannot. The value proposition, even with the welfare check that comes with it, is horrible.
