>> Well, killing 70 pheasants for "sport" should not meet with anybody's approval...can we stipulate at least that much?

It wouldn't be any fun for me. But I sure as hell wouldn't denigrate someone else for it. A lot of people enjoy hunting and I really don't have any issue with it.

When TR, one of our greatest presidents to be (and certainly one of the great environmentalists of all time) traveled to The Badlands, he and others shot all manner of animals from the train passing by. For "sport", as you say. Nobody stopped and picked up the dead carcasses. The entire trip was in pursuit of a single buffalo kill. The purpose of which was to stuff (TR being himself an amateur taxidermist) and mount it on the wall at Sagamore Hill. Prior to the trip, TR remarked in a private letter that he intended to kill a bison while there is still one left to kill. He was dead serious.

I'm not sure what you're so excited about. Hunting and fishing have been pleasurable activities for many Americans [certainly not me] since the nation's inception.

Why can you not just leave other people alone to do WTF they want to so long as it isn't hurting YOU?

GOP: President Obama beatable in 2012

By Alexander Bolton - 06/22/11 05:25 AM ET

A growing contingent of Republican lawmakers and strategists believe President Obama has become more politically vulnerable and, because of that, are encouraging more GOP candidates to enter the presidential race.

“In recent weeks, as economic news has continued to worsen, Republicans have begun to think that President Obama is not just vulnerable, but beatable,” said Mark McKinnon, a former strategist to President George W. Bush and Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), the 2008 GOP nominee.
