What are the units of money velocity? It has no units. They've been divided out. So what does it mean? Nothing.

On Wednesday, the Boston Red Sox fan reiterated his belief that interest rates should be kept at rock-bottom levels for an extended period of time.

FED isn't setting rates. Temporary is closed.

As soon as you read this author's above sentence you could throw the article away because you know the person is illiterate.

He views this as necessary in order to keep the economy growing.

It is irrelevant, non sequitur, and Gentile knows it. Interest rates at any level never keep economies growing. All they do is maintain the balance between the demand and supply for money. It's like saying, "the level of Apple's stock price keeps the company growing".

Part of Bernanke’s problem has been his inability to accelerate the pace of money movement, or velocity.

No.

Velocity is an economic measure of how many times a dollar is used to purchase goods and services.

False.

The rest of this is a waste of time. Don't post garbage on this board.
