I would have to disagree with whoever you heard that from. NEC monitors are some of the best in the market. Excellent quality. 21" sounds good though...I'd need a couple of those.

Paul, I have an NEC 21" screen. It is almost 3 years old and is no longer as sharp as should be. I don't know if this is typical, but I am disappointed. Next monitor will be a flat screen.

I also have a Sony Multiscan monitor that is very sharp, but it is only 1/2 year old.
