One would think that someone who spent many years overseas would know that "Austrian" is not a language.

A few years ago I was coming home from Malaysia and had a layover in Taiwan. I lost my passport in the Taiwan airport. When we were landing I became aware that I no longer had my passport. I was panicked. How would I get through customs?

Well, I explained the situation to the customs dood and he wasn't overly worried. He just started asking me questions.
In what city were you born?
What elementary school did you go to?
What high school did you graduate from?
How many states are in the United States?
Who was the 16th president?

There are some things that every American who was born here just knows.
-We all know that there are 50 states.
-We all know who the 16th president was.

We may not know who the 14th president, 5th president, 22nd president, 33rd president....but we all know who the 16th president was.

And we may even know who the 17th president was, but only in the relation to the 16th president. (17th? oh yeah, that was Andrew Johnson, he was the guy who took over after Lincoln was shot and was the first president to be impeached)
