well, I was just in an encounter when I suggested a man had issue with women. the reply was "oh, so he's a misogynist". uhm, no, I didn't say that. then another pipes in:
"I thought you said that. i guess not."

no I didn't. there is distance between having issues with and being a misogynist. in fact, they were trying to dismiss my concerns about the man's treatment of women by suggesting I was saying something super big bad about him, so they could rebut it. silliness.

I don't get Stewart. I know he is consistently rude and dismissive of women, as well as them being almost non-existent on his show and on his staff, in spite of his trotting out his tokens. doesn't matter. he has fewer viewers than even the least watched of fun shows in the evening. in other words... lotta smoke, no fire. lotta big face looks, and that's it. really how many years can you make your living off that one look?
