First of all, how did they know you had drugs?

Second, I think that you were well within your rights to protect your property against trespassers on a nefarious mission of theft. If someone enters my home uninvited it would scare the living $hit out of me. I would quickly use deadly force to protect myself, my wife, and our home.

But, let me be brutally honest, Gersh. Because drugs were involved, many would hold the view that it was a case of druggie-on-druggie crime. Consequently, you would not receive much sympathy from many people. I'm just saying.

Bottom line: I think you took the proper action in defending your property. If I were on a jury, I would definitely vote for your acquittal, based on the limited facts disclosed... screw the left-wing judge's instructions.

I would NEVER, under any circumstances, vote to convict a man who shot trespassers with a criminal intent on his property.
