>>>Actually it is a well know fact that after the early success of the Multisync 3d monitors, they went down hill in quality. I had one 5D that went black, and my best friend had 2 that smoked. They simply suck for the past 4 years or so.<<<

Well that explains it...I'm still using their 3D multisyncs. They've been the best I've ever used, which is why I've held onto them. I suppose I wrongly assumed their more recent models should have improved, if anything. Gosh, has it been 4 years already?!

Paul,

I have to disagree about the NEC monitors. I have a new 19" Hitachi Super Scan (.22 Dot Pitch) that I would recommend in a minute, but it doesn't hold a candle compared to the sharpness of the picture on my 17" NEC Multisync 5FGp that I have owned for a few years. It has simply the best looking picture of any monitor that I have looked at.
Anyway, happy shopping!
