I can't see that he's a nut job based on his statements about illegal immigration. I think everyone should be alarmed by having to bar US citizens from access to national parks due to their being used by crminal trafficers. There's another issue and thats freedom of speech and thought. We don't need promotion of some kind of thought crime or speech crime atmosphere here.

He also knew and knows that bigbiddness WANTS aND NEEDS the illegals in this state, that millions of them have been here long term, own homes, pay taxes, work, etc. During the housing boom they were highly sought after because they ACTUALLY WORKED! Any builder or contractor in the state knows the immigrants worked like NUTs and cheap. Big biddness will make sure SB1070 never really gets adopted, and if so, doesn't get enforced. Why the flip flop? Becase he had too when he ran against rabid wingnut idiot JD Hayseed in the Republican primary. He showed ole JD just how politics work, he basically just took all his major beefs and said... "what? I'm for that too!" LOL, when the wind blows the other way and ole John thinks he wants to leave a legacy he'll flip again in an instant and dust off the immigration bills he has in his drawer. :) DAK
